The answer to Islamism is to live out a superior worldview which cares about ordinary people’s real needs. I am a Christian and I think Christianity does that.
We may need to continue to have a military response but it needs to be firm bedded in a fair and just and attractive world-view that all can see is a good way for a society to live and thrive.
