Dover Harbour saved from sale

GOOD NEWS I heard today from the Dept for Transport of a ministerial decision this week NOT to go ahead with the sale of Dover Harbour on the open market which I think would have been short-termism in a severe form. We need Dover Harbour. It’s quite useful. Dover Harbour Board might come back again with a further request. They want a developer to build a RoRo facility in the under-used Western Docks but the nation should fund this and keep ownership of it, not sell it off just so a businessman can put in a bit of (probably borrowed) money and reap big long-term personal rewards. So it’s a victory for now. Here’s my 2010 video with updating captions.
